In the presentation were compared two metadata sets collected within two research projects in the different years and for different purposes of the University of Saar, Germany (MultiLing) and C2DH, Luxembourg (U-CORE). Both sets contain data to the project participants with Ukrainian language knowledge. The aim of the presented analysis was to compare the available and comparable data and see, how the foreign language knowledge of the project participants impacted their migration behaviour before the Russian full-scale invasion in Ukraine in 2022 and after that. The preliminary results of the comparative analysis show that the war forced to migrate older and better educated people, but with less foreign language skills.
