Richard Legay is the curator for the upcoming online exhibition of the Popkult60 project. He holds a PhD in Media History from the University of Luxembourg, and his dissertation, entitled “Commercial Radio Stations and their Dispositif. Transnational and Intermedial perspectives on Radio Luxembourg and Europe n°1 in the Long Sixties”, was defended in November 2020.
Richard first joined the C²DH in November 2016 as a PhD candidate. Alongside his research on Media History, he taught a module with Anita Lucchesi on Digital Public History for the Bachelor in History. He was also responsible for the Tutorat course, with Fabio Spirinelli and Ben Zenner, as part of the Master en Histoire Européenne Contemporaine.
Richard is a member of the International Federation for Public History, the IAMHIST network, and the GRER, the Groupe d'Etudes et de Recherches sur la Radio. He holds a M.Phil in Public History & Cultural Heritage at Trinity College Dublin and a MA in Contemporary European History at the University of Luxembourg, where he won an award for the best Master Thesis in the History Department.
