Luca Federico Cerra is a PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg and in co-supervision with the University of Namur (Belgium). Graduated with a bachelor degree in history from the latter University in 2017, he completed his Master in history and history teaching in 2019 at the catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).
His main interests are socio-economic history, the urban economy in the eighteenth century and the emergence of liberalism in the historical region of the Low Countries (approximately, the current Benelux). After a master dissertation addressing the issue in a limited way, his PhD thesis aims to analyses the suppression of the corporations in the nine departments attached to France in 1795.
