Ferdaous is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) in Luxembourg, working on the exploration of Western colonial discourse and propaganda in historical newspapers and radio.
Ferdaous holds a Data and Knowledge Engineering degree from the School of Information Science of Rabat. Before joining the C²DH, she worked at the Moroccan News Agency, where she led projects involving the digitization and AI-driven exploration of news archives.
As a PhD researcher at C²DH, Ferdaous will contribute to the "impresso - Media Monitoring of the Past II” project, under the supervision of Dr. Marten Düring, shedding new light on the historical impact of colonial discourse through innovative data-driven approaches.
