Current position

Aurore Treutens is a doctoral researcher in Financial History at the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH).

Research

Her main research, supervised by Prof. Dr. Benoît Majerus, focuses on the history of the Financial Centre of Luxembourg and its promotion from the late 19th century and through the 20th century, involving banks’ private activities and official representation of the state of Luxembourg.

Educational background

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History at Université de Namur and a master’s degree in Contemporary History at Université Libre de Bruxelles. Her interests have been centered on Diplomatic and Economic History of Europe and North America.
