Prof. Valérie Schafer is the new Deputy Director of the C²DH.
On 1 March, after an unanimous vote, Prof. Valérie Schafer became the new Deputy Director of the C²DH, following in the footsteps of Ass.-Prof Denis Scuto. Scuto resigned from this position to hold the new ‘History of Migrations’ Chair at the University of Luxembourg.
Until her election as Deputy Director, Prof. Schafer was the Head of the ‘Contemporary European History’ research group, a position now entrusted to Ass.-Prof Frédéric Clavert. He will be assisted by Dr Myriam Piguet, who becomes the Vice-Head of the EHI research group.
