One of the main goal of digitization in the cultural heritage sector is to enable online access to the widest audience. Digitising documents in high-quality and with precise metadata is an important first step, but equally important is the technological aspect. Recently, the BnL has begun major improvements and extensions of its architecture and software.
Ralph Marschall is responsible for the digitization at the National Library of Luxembourg. He works on both, the project management side as well as the software analysis and development. In this talk, he will present the current work and progress of the BnL related to the development of a new digital document viewer.
